How much food can you rescue from going to waste this week? Fill in this template before the week begins to find out.

HOW IT WORKS
Section #1: Food Rescue List
List perishable ingredients (up to 8) that you have in your fridge or freezer. Focus on what should be cooked before it expires or suffers freezer burn.
For extra motivation to use these items, include the dollar amount you invested to buy each one.

Section #2: Meal Ideas
In this section, list meal ideas that make delicious use of the ingredients listed in section #1. When you make a meal, record the value of food you successfully saved from going to waste. Nice work!

The hard part? Coming up with meal ideas.
To help, we created a Food Rescue Starter Kit. It includes 20 meal ideas that are organized by what you find in your fridge.
Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll find inside the Starter Kit ⬇️:

There are also challenge sections for vegetables, leftovers, pantry, and emergency meals (15 minutes or less). It’s free.
Section #3 and #4: Emergency Meals and Delivery
List convenience meals in section #3 to account for life’s variables. Throughout the week, track delivery in section #4 (include food cost + delivery fees).

FAQ: Are section #3 and #4 fails?
No.
Section #3 is a buffer zone. For days when there’s only enough time (or energy) to put a frozen pizza in the oven.
Section #4 is a reset zone. As for including the cost? It’s simple. “What gets measured gets managed”.
Section #5 and #6
In section #5, circle the month and the 7 days that your food rescue plan covers.
In section #6, list ingredients you will also need to successfully make the meals listed in section #2.
